Digital Illustration – This doodle is inspired by my appreciation of where I live. I adore the people who live here. I’ve been referred to as an “honorary yooper” but I can say that there is a certain kind of people here that are far outside myself that really embody the spirit of what it means to be a resident of the Keweenaw. They don’t all wear plaid, and they don’t all drink beer. But what they do have in common, is a returning to the lake for some solace and a place to recharge their batteries. Some spend more time here doing this, others less. This is like church. A church where you can bring your dogs, logs, and beer.
