When I worked for a painting company in Minneapolis we received a request for a donation. The request came in for a canvas painting or mural in the room of a young girl who was into punk rock and roller derby. An organization called Special Spaces, whose mission is to give dream room makeovers for children with life-threatening illnesses was the one who wrote to us. When I heard about what they do, and asked if I wanted to get involved, well it was an absolute, yes!
